Filippo Bonini Baraldi, integrated researcher at Instituto de Etnomusicologia - Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança, published a chapter in the book Musique, Sciences, et Santé (Music, Sciences and Health), edited by Emmanuel Bigand e Gérard Mick and published by Dunod (Paris, France).

The chapter is entitled "La musique, la santé et la société: contribution de l’ethnomusicologie" (Music, Health and Society: a contribution from ethnomusicology) and discusses how ethnomusicology can contribute to understanding the relationship between music and human health. This fascinating field of research is of growing interest to researchers from a wide range of scientific backgrounds: cognitive psychology, psychotherapy, neuroscience, surgery, physiatry...  In this chapter, the author addresses the following question: What knowledge and skills can ethnomusicology mobilize to broaden our perspective on the relation between music and health?
