Research Centre for Electroacoustic Music - Universidade de Aveiro (CIME - DeCA | UA)
The CIME located at Aveiro University is a fully equipped laboratory of research in electroacoustic music composition and sound spatialization. Founded in 1993, it is a pioneering center in Portugal. Equipped with the latest technology, its main aim is to provide composers and researchers a workspace for project development. Several important composers have regularly worked in this lab: Istvan Szigeti, Andres Lewin Richter, Ignacio Baca Lobera, Paul Rudy. An electroacoustic music school of composition was founded in this center. Some of its composers were awarded international prizes and regularly and organize lectures and concerts.
