Biography
Graduated in Music by the Conservatory of Music in Porto, Portugal, Master in Arts by the University of Reading (UK), Rui Ferreira (1957) is a specialist in the active music methodologies of Carl Orff / Zoltan Kodaly. He is cofounder and director of the Orff Institute of Porto, Portugal and Orff Orchestra of Porto. He studied with Leonor Costa Lima, Miguel Graça, Jos Wuytack, Pierre Van-Hauwe, Fernanda Correia and Isabel Delerue. Also a Co-founder of CIPEM (Research Center of Psychology of Music and Music Education), he is Adjunct Professor at the School of Education of the Porto Polytechnic and a member of its General Council.
