Biography
Since September 2017, doing PhD in Musical Sciences at the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal). From 2008 to 2010, obtained the Master Degree in African and Ethnic Studies at the Universidade Federal da Bahia (Brazil) and previously, from 1998 to 2004, Bachelor in Social Sciences at the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil). As the main professional activity, since July of 2007 I work as a Senior Researcher at the ARPAC – Institute for Social and Cultural Research (Ministry of Culture and Tourism), and from August of 2014 to date, being Head of the Sector for Research in Ethnomusicology. In parallel, as a researcher, I am associated with the following institutions: INET-md – Instituto de Etnomusicologia - Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança (Portugal, FSCH/UNL, as a PhD Student in Musical Sciences); Centro Lúcio Costa/IPHAN (Brazil, as international Consultant) and ICTM – International Council of Traditional Music (as the Liaison Officer for Mozambique).
