Biography
Pedro Belchior Nunes is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Ethnomusicology at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, New University of Lisbon. He was a Guest Lecturer at Social Sciences and Management Department at Portugal's Open University from 2008 until 2014 and an Adjunct Lecturer in Social Sciences at the Arts and Design School, part of Leiria's Polytechnic Institute between 2007 and 2008. He holds a degree in Sociology from FCSH-UNL and a PhD in Film and Media Studies from the Stirling Media Research Institute at the University of Stirling. His research areas include popular music studies, sociology of culture, and media sociology. He has conducted research and published in topics such as music journalism and criticism, the recording industry and youth cultures.
