Biography
PhD in Dance from FMH, Universidade de Lisboa (1994). MA in Dance from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (1987). Retired Associate Professor from the Centre for Performing Arts, Previously Dance Department, Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, Universidade de Lisboa, since 1983, teaching mostly improvisation, choreography and Dance Production at graduate and Post-graduate levels. Head of Dance Department, from 2003/2009. Presently, researcher in Pólo FMH of INET-MD, Instituto de Etnomusicologia - Música e Dança. Artistic Director of Quinzena de Dança de Almada International Dance Festival.
