Biography
PhD in Music and Musicology from the University of Évora (2008), master’s degree (1996) and graduation in Musicology (1990) from the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas - Universidade Nova, Lisbon. Main field of research: instrumental music during the Portuguese Ancien Régime. Principal researcher of a project about instrumental music in Portugal 1755-1840 funded by the FCT (2010-2014) Since 1995 she has taught at the Conservatório Nacional and since 2000 at the Music Department of the University of Évora. She was vice-coordinator of the Research Unity (UnIMeM) of University of Évora and researcher of the Centre INET from FCSH-UNL. Head of the Museum of Portuguese Music (Casa Verdades Faria) 2010 -11.
