The most recent issue of the Yearbook for Traditional Music has just been released, and features the first bilingual PT-EN article published in this magazine since its foundation in 1949, by Marco Freitas, a researcher at INET-md- "Between War, Politics, and 'Something Nice Back Home': Uncovering the First Mozambican Experiences within the World Music Market (1987-1994)". The same article was published in Portuguese under the title "Entre guerra, política e 'uma visão positiva lá de casa': Descortinando as primeiras experiências moçambicanas na senda da World Music (1987-1994)".

Under the scientific coordination of Susana Sardo and Ana Flávia Miguel, researchers at INET-md (University of Aveiro), and Kati Szego, from St Johns University, Canada, this volume represents a significant collaboration between specialists from different parts of the world. The inclusion of the bilingual article reflects not only linguistic diversity but also the journal's commitment to broadening access to knowledge in ethnomusicology. This volume is the result of the ICTM World Conference, held in Lisbon in 2022 and organized by INET-md, which was attended by 808 participants from 84 countries.
