Podcast | Pod-ip #5 | Women in Music: Inês Lamares
The Post-ip group, composed of PhD students from INET-md, has just released the fifth episode of its Podcast "Pod-ip". This week's episode features Inês Lamares, a sound technician and music producer. You can watch it today at 12 pm on Pod-ip's YouTube and Spotify page.
Also as part of the celebration of women's month, in this fifth episode, we welcome Inês Lamares, who talks to us about the multifaceted projects she has developed throughout her career as an independent sound technician, as well as the challenges she has faced along the way and her experience as a woman in the world of music production, which is still mostly made up of men.
Inês Lamares | Born in Porto, Inês began her musical career at the Porto Music Conservatory, where she studied saxophone, graduating in Production and Music Technologies from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto, in 2000. With a background and professional experience, she worked with numerous national and international artists, was a trainer at Restart Porto, between 2016 and 2020, and collaborated with a company in the construction of studios. She currently has her recording studio in Porto, Cabriolet Music Studio. From the record label Bor Land, which she ran between 2004 and 2010, to her project "Os Arranjadores", started in 2020.
