The Institute of Ethnomusicology - Centre for Music and Dance Studies (INET-md) and the University of Aveiro (UAveiro), as partners of the DigiMusi project, will hold the training course for teachers "Digital transformation in music education". The activity will take place at the Department of Communication and Art (DeCA), on May 31st and June 1st and 2nd, in a hybrid format, with the participation of the Spanish partners and the Portuguese partner.
DigiMusi - Digital Transformation in Elementary Music Education - is a small-scale partnership funded by the ERASMUS+ program, which aims to create strategies to address the digital transition in music teaching and learning. The consortium is formed in Portugal by the University of Aveiro and the Conservatório de Música e Artes do Centro, and in Spain by the Escuela de Música Ad Libitum and the Escuela Municipal de Música Diego-Ortiz, which is the project coordinator.
This first training for teachers, promoted by the DigiMusi project, will aim to develop digital pedagogical skills, providing resources, strategies, and tools for the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the materials developed under this action.

With a diversified program, the formation counts on several activities, namely: presentation of innovative projects, round table, workshops, and also the observation of practical music classes with children.

Besides the DigiMusi members, the program has the confirmation of some guests, such as Professor Ricardo Matosinhos (CESEM and Academia de Música de Costa Cabral) who will moderate the round table, as well as other specialists who will give a sample of the projects they are developing or have already developed.

The following will be present:

Manuela Encarnação and Carlos Gomes (APEM) - CantarMais Platform

Nuno Peixoto (ESE/IPP) - Basic elements of Music

Lluis Muñoz and Pedro Reigh (AD LIBITUM EVENTS) - i-MUSI

Luís Matos and Marco Bento (Edições Convite à Música) - Iukpi Platform
