On 9th March, during the INET-md 2024 Forum, we (re)launched the Journal Music, Psychology and Education of the Centre for Research in Psychology of Music and Music Education (CIPEM), twenty years after its last issue.

The journal, which was first presented in 1999 in printed paper format, will now be available, like the vast majority of scientific journals, through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, a system developed, supported, and distributed free of charge by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP).

The journal will publish original research articles, as well as reviews, projects, or studies on music, education, and society. The proposed texts, which may be written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, will be evaluated and accepted by a peer review committee.

The publications will be in a continuous flow, which will allow interested parties to submit articles at any time of the year, will be free to access, without any charge or burden for both authors and readers, will gather the different accepted texts in two volumes each year, in digital format and paper format, the latter only by print-on-demand request, and shortly will seek to have the necessary indicators to obtain a recognized index.

With this initiative, CIPEM | INET - md hopes not only to contribute to the bibliographic potential applicable to the scientific and pedagogical field but also to open up an innovative space for dissemination and scientific realization in these areas of knowledge in Portugal. As of today, the process of submitting texts to the scientific committee is open and we hope that everyone will collaborate in making this initiative a success.

All the information and article submissions are available on the Journal's website.
