Other Artistic Activities:
Shao represented Portugal at the "European Music Competition for Youth", in Dublin, and premiered the work "Ye that pipe and Te that play" by composer Philip Martin at the Royal Dublin Society Concert Hall. She recorded the Mozart piano concert KV547, in the exchange between RDP and Radio Luxembourg, at the Teatro Circo, Braga. By invitation from the Orient Foundation, Shao held a series of piano recitals and chamber music in Portugal. As a performer, she collaborated with the Maestro José Atalaya, in the program "Music in Dialogue". Invited by the North Delegation of the Ministry of Culture, she presented a series of concerts in northern Portugal. Shao also held a Music Series in Portuguese Universities. As a soloist, she played with the Symphony Orchestra of Porto, under the direction of Maestro Alvaro Salazar; with the Orquestra das Beiras, under the direction of Maestro António Lourenço and Maestro Cesário Costa, and with the Orquestra do Norte, under the direction of Maestro Ferreira Lobo. She has performed piano recitals and chamber music recitals at festivals, in Portugal and abroad, most notably the International Music Festival of Aveiro; the International Music Festival of Vila Nova de Gaia; the International Music Festival of the Ateneu Comercial de Porto; the International Music Festival of Paços de Brandão; the Festival "Spring Gathering" of Guimarães; "The Summer Concerts" of the Orient Foundation; the Music Festival "Le Centre Historique des Archives Nationales - Hôtel de Soubise" in Paris, France; the Music Festival "Villa Guariglia" in Salerno, Italy; the Bologna Festival; the "Day of Portugal" at the Macao Cultural Centre, China, among others.
