There is now an open call for applications for a research grant (master's degree) (BI) within the scope of the R&D project/unit Instituto de Etnomusicologia - Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança, INET-md - at the University of Aveiro, with the financial support of the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia/MCTES, through national funds.

 
General admission requirements: Students enrolled in a doctoral program, with a master's degree in Musicology, Ethnomusicology, Social Sciences, History, or related areas. Preferred selection factors are experience in research and/or management of sound archives and in particular shellac collections; experience in research into popular music recorded in Portugal, Mozambique, and Brazil; experience in research into ethnomusicology and/or popular music studies.
Duration of the research grant: The grant will have a duration of six months, starting in December 2023, possibly renewable for additional periods of six months, up to the maximum limit of the approved funding, under no circumstances exceeding the limits defined in paragraphs 3 and 4 of article 6 of Regulation no. 950/2019, of November 29, published in Diário da República, no. 241, Series 2, of December 16 (FCT, I.P. Research Grant Regulation).
