Specialized seminar | Creation and performance practices II
The Institute of Ethnomusicology - Centre for Studies in Music and Dance (INET-md) is organizing the Specialized Seminar "Creation and Performance Practices II", on January 18, 25, and February 1 and 8, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm, sound studio of the Department of Communication and Art (DeCA). Leading the seminar will be Sergio Kafejian, lecturer at Faculdade Santa Marcelina (FSM) and researcher at INET-md.
The four meetings of this new seminar aim to continue the creation and performance practices involving structured and directed improvisation, associated with non-conventional notation systems, and the preparation of a performance in which the various possibilities of the intersection of improvisation and composition will be explored.
The seminar is open to instrumentalists, singers, composers, music educators, and interested parties in general, and it is not compulsory to participate in the previous seminar.
