The concert "dois rios" (two rivers) will be held on the 13th February, at 6pm, at the Amphiteatre João Branco, Department of Communication and Art, University of Aveiro (DeCA-UA). This is the first 2020 edition of the "Cycle of Conferences and Concerts Momentum - Composers and performers in the First Person". Free admittance. João Quinteiro presents his piece "dois rios", for cello and prepared piano. The piece takes on the idea of expanding the universe of sound that each body contains, as a way to create multiple materials which seek to integrate the cello and the piano in their own universe of compositional possibilities, not expanded, rather coexisting.

The principal aim of this cycle is to promote and appreciate contemporary Portuguese music, through concerts, masterclasses, conferences and the commissioning and premiering of new works. To date, Momentum has commissioned over thirty new works, in addition to recording various CDs. Since 2015, Momentum has focused on the theme "Composers and Performers in the First Person', aiming to give a voice to composers and performers, a more informal manner of exploring their musical journeys. The related concerts, which often feature commentaries, contribute to the audience's understanding and appreciation of contemporary music. Sara Carvalho is currently the artistic director of Momentum, and responsible for organising this cycle.
