Rui Ferreira

Biography

Graduated in Music by the Conservatory of Music in Porto, Portugal, Master in Arts by the University of Reading (UK), Rui Ferreira (1957) is a specialist in the active music methodologies of Carl Orff / Zoltan Kodaly. He is co-founder and director of the Orff Institute of Porto, Portugal and the Orff Orchestra of Porto. He studied with Leonor Costa Lima, Miguel Graça, Jos Wuytack, Pierre Van-Hauwe, Fernanda Correia and Isabel Delerue. Also a Co-founder of CIPEM (Research Center of Psychology of Music and Music Education), he is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Education of the Porto Polytechnic and a member of its General Council.
