Cristina Ioan is a Romanian-Portuguese flautist engaged in projects that promote new works, collaborating with contemporary composers to explore and expand the artistic possibilities of the flute. With a career spanning more than 20 years, she has premiered numerous pieces written especially for her by Nuno Peixoto de Pinho, Carlos Guedes, David Lesser, Matthew Quayle, Cristóbal MarYan, and Dimitris Andrikopoulos, and has performed in countries such as Romania, France, Portugal, Greece, and the United Arab Emirates.
