The piece builds upon a structural duality intended to reflect contrasting expressive environments. On one hand, sections dominated by a kinetic urgency take shape, characterized by a density of notes articulated in swift, incisive movements, where the bow suggests a continuous mechanical and gestural agitation.
This layer is meant to contrast with moments that aspire to stillness and a stripping away of the material. Within these spaces of intended deeper introspection, the rhythmic density dissolves, giving way to expressive lines that evoke an inner lyricism, and to glissandos in harmonics that move subtly like diffuse rays of light.
