Between October 29th and 31st, 2007 | Casa da Música (Porto)
The National Conference on Arts Education took place at Casa da Música (Porto), from 29th to 31st October 2007. The participation of artists, educators, and culture specialists from all over the country made this conference a unique opportunity for the discussion of theoretical and methodological approaches to the subject. About 1400 participants attended plenary sessions, panels, round-tables and demonstrations of good-practices. Also, a Vídeo-diffusion over the Internet made possible the access to the conference for many other people.
João Soeiro de Carvalho acted as Commissioner, and António Nóvoa, Salwa Castelo-Branco and José Sasportes were the members of the Consulting Committee. The Portuguese Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education, and Culture promoted this Conference.
