Rita Rato

Biography

Rita Rato holds a PhD in Human Kinetics, with a specialization in Dance,
from the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon (FMH-UL), where
she also completed her undergraduate degree in Dance. She began her
dance training at the National Conservatory Dance School in Lisbon. She
is an Integrated Researcher at the Institute of Ethnomusicology – Centre
for the Study of Music and Dance (INET-md / FMH branch) and serves as an
Assistant Professor at FMH. Since 2005, she has been teaching courses in
Dance Techniques, Somatic Practices, Dance Laboratory, and Dance Event
Production.
