Pedro Duarte

Biography

Pedro Duarte Barbosa Gomes Pereira is an academic at the Escola Superior de Educação (ESE) of the Instituto Politécnico do Porto. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Basic Education in 2013, followed by two Master’s degrees from the same institution: one in Teaching for 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education in 2015 and another in Professional Specialized Studies in Education in 2017. He earned his Doctorate in Education from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2021. His pedagogical activity and research focus on ‘Curriculum Design and Development’, ‘Educational Policies and School Administration/Organization’, and ‘Teacher Education’. He also conducts research in ‘1st Cycle of Basic Education (primary education)’ and ‘Education for/in Democratic Citizenship’.
