Maria Bartilotti Matos

Biography

Maria do Rosário Bartilotti Matos was born in Porto in 1978. Graduated in medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, she is a specialist in radiology. She approached contemporary dance at Balleteatro and Dance Center of Porto, with a strong dynamic of contact and improvisation. She also has concluded editing courses for cinema and video, currently collaborating with the documentary cinema nucleus KINO-DOC. In 2017 she started a PhD in dance at Faculdade de Motricidade Humana of University of Lisboa. Her research involves movement practices from an anatomical and ontological perspective, with an emphasis on embryology.
