Dora Utermohl de Queiroz
Dora Utermohl de Queiroz holds a PhD in Music from the University of Aveiro (Portugal), having completed a doctoral internship at the University of the Arts Helsinki – Sibelius Academy (Finland). She holds a Master’s degree in Music and a Bachelor’s degree in Cello from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), including an academic exchange period at the University of Minho (Portugal). Since 2015, she has been a lecturer in the Undergraduate Music Programme at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), where she works primarily in music education, group teaching of lower bowed strings (cello and double bass), and individual cello instruction.She coordinates the following outreach projects at UFC: “UFC Cello Ensemble” and “Claves de Fá: Group Teaching of Lower Strings.” She is also the assistant coordinator of the UFC String Camerata and String Orchestra. Since 2017, she has been part of the organising committee of the Flausino Valle National Conference and String Meeting.Her research focuses on the teaching and learning of bowed string instruments, online music education, and self-regulated musical learning.
