Carlos Balbino

Biography

Carlos Balbino trained in Theatre for a very long time, in Portugal, England and France, where he currently lives. In 2018, he begins his education in Anthropology, and is nowadays doing a PhD in Ethnomusicology, under the guidance of Prof. Dra. Salwa El-Shawan Castelo-Branco (INET-md, Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and Prof. Dr. Jérôme Cler (IreMus, Sorbonne Université). Carlos Balbino is preparing the first thesis dedicated to the viola campaniça, a luth from Southern Portugal, and is supported by the Castro Verde municipality.
