The great musical diversity of Entre Douro and Vouga – Northern Region of Portugal – where the polyphonic chants by 2 or 3 voices, a wide repertoire associated with the religious context (prayers and hymns, Lent and Christmas songs), the “canto ao desafio” but also the brass bands, the “cavaquinho” bands, guitars and accordions express a strong local identity that has kept alive its traditions.
