Abstract
The integration of binaural artistic presentations and photography into installations or performances designed for public spaces opens up a deeply immersive environment, where three-dimensional sound interacts with expanded photography to create hybrid sensory experiences. These experiences allow audiences to explore soundscapes shaped by the visual elements and the listener’s position, amplifying visual narratives through spatialisation.
This proposal combines binaural audio and photography, supported by multidistance technology, to create a multimedia installation during a residency in the Marvão area. The installation will engage audiences in a simultaneously intimate and expanded sensory experience, fostering new and innovative forms of artistic engagement and dialogue between sound and visual arts. It will be presented at the Cultural Centre of the Universidade Técnica do Porto.
