Abstract
Borealis XXI proposes a tour of Brazil by the Borealis Ensemble, comprising António Carrilho, Helena Marinho, Henrique Portovedo and Nuno Aroso, to promote recent works by Portuguese composers written for the Ensemble or its members. These works represent significant contributions to contemporary Portuguese music, but have not yet been performed or promoted internationally. The tour will address this gap through four concerts and a masterclass at renowned higher education institutions specialising in music.
