On December 22th, 2019, Sunday, will be held at the Ruy de Carvalho Municipal Auditorium in Carnaxide the 1st Dance with Tradition Encounter. It aims to bring together professionals working in traditional dance, Portuguese or international, giving them visibility and enabling collective sharing and dialogue between the academy and the community. The program features a round table “Dancing Tradition and other serious business” between 10:30 and 12:30, and a show “(Con) Tradição” at 19:00.
The show is attended by students of the 1st year of the FMH Dance Degree, as well as 6 other groups in which traditional dance is the essence, in a sometimes more conservative, sometimes more contemporary approach.
