A recruitment procedure is open for the hiring of a Senior Technician – Grade 3, under an open-ended fixed-term employment contract, to carry out duties at the Institute of Ethnomusicology – Centre for Studies in Music and Dance (INET-md), NOVA FCSH Branch, within the framework of the Unit’s Strategic Funding – UID/00472/2025.

The position involves scientific, administrative and operational management activities at INET-md, including, among other tasks, support to the Branch Coordination, follow-up of research applications and projects, liaison with researchers and institutional services, execution and registration of expenditure, organisation of scientific events, science communication, preparation of the newsletter, and support in the preparation of reports and activity indicators.

General admission requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in any field of Science and Technology. Preference will be given to candidates holding a completed Master’s and/or PhD degree.

Particular value will be given to postgraduate training in Science and Technology Management or a related field, experience in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and reporting of research applications and projects, knowledge of the main national and international funding instruments, proficiency in English, and strong organisational, communication, teamwork, autonomy and problem-solving skills.
