Ana Alarcón Jiménez

Biography

She currently works as assistant researcher and a doctoral student at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She has researched and studied at the Graduate Center of the City of New York (CUNY), the University of California in San Diego, the University of Arkansas, and the National University of Colombia, among others. She has been awarded full scholarships by all the above mentioned institutions. Alarcón-Jiménez is Vice Chair of the Society for Ethnomusicology Student Union Blog and she is contributor of the Student Union’s blog.
