The Instituto de Etnomusicologia – Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança (Institute of Ethnomusicology – Center for Studies in Music and Dance), abbreviated to INET-md, is a research unit integrated into the Portuguese national scientific system, having its headquarters in the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, in addition to three other branches: one in the Department of Communication and Arts of the Universidade de Aveiro; one in the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the Universidade de Lisboa; and another in the Escola Superior de Educação of the Politécnico do Porto.
