
Department of Communication and Art, University of Aveiro
The University of Aveiro (UA) is a public foundation under private law whose mission is to intervene in and develop undergraduate and postgraduate education, research and cooperation with society. Created in 1973, it quickly became one of the most dynamic and innovative universities in the country. Attended by around 15,000 students in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the UA soon assumed an important role in the country’s university panorama, placing itself at the forefront in terms of the quality of the infrastructures it offers, the quality of its research and the excellence of its teaching staff. The UA is a privileged partner of companies and other national and international entities, with which it cooperates on various projects and programs and to which it provides important services, and is therefore a research space where innovative products and solutions are developed that contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
The Department of Communication and Art (DeCA) is home to very diverse skills in the areas of Communication Sciences and Technologies, Design, Art Studies and Music, which are organized transversally, among themselves and with other external skills, to offer a very attractive and innovative set of initial and postgraduate training courses.
