International Congress on Artistic Education 2026 – Call for Proposals Now Open

Organised by the Conservatory in co-organisation with the Regional Directorate of Education, the International Congress on Artistic Education 2026 will take place on 12, 13 and 14 March 2026, in Funchal. The event aims to serve as a space for encounter and reflection on arts education, fostering dialogue between professionals in the fields of the arts, education, and research.

Carolina Faria Costa, INET-md researcher pursuing her PhD at NOVA FCSH, is a member of the organising committee of this event.

The call for proposals for presentations, posters, and workshops to be included in the event programme is now open.

If you have a good practice, research project, or hands-on workshop to share, send your proposal by 15th September 2025 to congresso.artes@edu.madeira.gov.pt.

For those who wish to simply attend and enjoy the wide-ranging programme, either in person or remotely, registration is also open, with fees increasing based on the registration date.

The first phase runs until 30th September, and there is a discount available for students.
