INET-md has six new contracts under the FCT Tenure program – 1st Edition

The year 2025 ends at INET-md with the hiring of six researchers for permanent positions under the first edition of the FCT Tenure program, thus achieving a fundamental goal for the successful development of the Strategic Project outlined for 2025-2029.
At NOVA FCSH, the following researchers take up their positions:
- Andrew Snyder, Assistant Researcher in Ethnomusicology: Music and Politics (2023.11076.TENURE.210);
- Cristina Fernandes, Assistant Researcher in Historical Musicology: 18th Century Portuguese Music History (2023.11076.TENURE.208);
- Filippo Bonini Baraldi, Principal Researcher in Ethnomusicology: Music Cognition and Emotions (2023.11076.TENURE.209); and
- Marco Roque de Freitas, Assistant Professor in Ethnomusicology: Colonial and post-colonial contexts in Portuguese-speaking Africa (2023.11076.TENURE.212).
At the University of Aveiro, the following researchers take up their positions:
- Alfonso Benetti, Assistant Researcher in Music/Musicology: Musical Creation and Performance (2023.15265.TENURE.033); and
- Sofia Serra, Assistant Researcher in Music/Musicology: Music Teaching (2023.15265.TENURE.034).
All these researchers already integrated INET-md’s team, through Scientific Employment Stimulus Contracts, also funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, but with a maximum duration of six years.
