INET-md co-organizes meeting “Redes Pop-Lusófonas: Música, Cultura, Territorialidades e Performances em Trânsito”

Bart Vanspauwen (INET-md) co-organized, with Ricardo Campos (CICS.NOVA), the seminar “Redes Pop-Lusófonas“, a meeting promoted by the research network of the project Redes de música pop-periféricas lusófonas: géneros, formatos, performances e narrativas em fluxos no ecossistema digital, which took place in 18th of June 2025, at NOVA FCSH. Coordinated by Simone Pereira de Sá (UFF) and funded by CNPq, the project gathers researchers of UFF, UFPE, UFBA, UFJF, UNIP, University of Porto, NOVA University Lisbon and University of Algarve.
As music is an important means of connecting different cultures, senses of belonging, identities and actions in the world, the project aims to carry out an interdisciplinary comparative study. The study will analyse the aesthetic, social and identity aspects of Lusophone musical communities, considering the impact of culture on digital platforms.
