International Seminar Collective Compositions in Dance: Dancing Images, Creative Voices

The International Seminar Collective Compositions in Dance (CCD) provides a space for encounter and dissemination of the DAST – Dancing Simply Together project, dedicated to collective practices in dance mediated by digital technologies. The focus lies on the transformations of the perception of the body, presence, and being-in-common.
The initiative aims to bring together artist-researchers, lecturers, and students, particularly at the postgraduate level, whose work intersects the fields of dance, performance, social intervention, and collaborative creation, reflecting on the challenges and possibilities of expanded bodies.
Topics of Interest
Proposals are welcome that explore, among others:
- Dance and social intervention
- Dance and collective compositions
- Dance and technology
Submissions will be reviewed by the CCD Scientific Committee based on relevance to the theme, originality, and scientific and/or artistic quality.
Key Dates
- 24 September 2025 – Abstract submission deadline
- 8 October 2025 – Notification of acceptance
- 15 October 2025 – Registration and payment (UPE)
- 21–22 October 2025 – Event (hybrid format; remote presentation possible)
Organization
The seminar is an initiative of the Saberes Diversos Extension Programme and the DAST Research Project, in partnership with the University of Pernambuco, the Federal University of Bahia, and the University of Lisbon / Faculty of Human Kinetics / INET-md.
