On December 5, Friday, the Institute of Ethnomusicology – Centre for Studies in Music and Dance (INET-md) hosts a brief session of presentation, to welcome those who recently joined the several courses offered by the Department of Musicology at NOVA FCSH, both signalling the end of the commemorations of the 30th anniversary of INET-md and fostering the contact between colleagues in different stages of their academic and scientific paths, including faculty teachers and (potential) supervisors.
The highlights of the program are the contribution of Professor Salwa El-Shawan Castelo-Branco, Founder and President Emerita of INET-md, on “Teaching and Researching in Musicology at NOVA FCSH”, as well as two musical moments featuring Alejandro Reyes-Lucero and Rita Santos, both pursuing their PhD in Musicology at NOVA FCSH, Alejandro specialising in Historical Musicology and Rita in Ethnomusicology.
The event is of free entrance, open to the whole of NOVA FCSH community, and will be held in Portuguese, during the morning of December 5, Friday, in the Auditorium B2, Tower B, Av. de Berna, followed by a social lunch at the canteen.
