INET-md joins EPASA and strengthens its European ties in performing arts education
The University of Aveiro (UA) and the Institute of Ethnomusicology – Centre for Studies in Music and Dance (INET-md) took part in the annual congress of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC), held from 5 to 8 November at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria.
Representing INET-md were Helena Marinho, researcher and coordinator of the Aveiro center, Eliza Oliveira, science manager, and two members of the Doctoral Students Committee, Gustavo Afonso and Paulina Almeida.

The congress took place alongside the annual conference of the European Performing Arts Students’ Association (EPASA), an independent and autonomous organisation dedicated to empowering and advocating for students in higher education and the performing arts, as well as supporting emerging professional artists. During the conference, the University of Aveiro / INET-md officially joined the association, which brings together student representatives from 37 international arts education institutions.
