Book on independent music highlighted at IASPM 2025 conference
The book Independence in 21st Century Popular Music: cases from beyond anglo-america was featured at the latest international conference of the IASPM (International Association for the Study of Popular Music), held at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris from July 7 to 11. The book, co-edited by Pedro Belchior Nunes and Pedro Roxo, researchers at INET-md, and Shannon Garland, from the University of Pittsburgh, was the subject of a roundtable discussion in which Pedro Nunes participated alongside Shannon Garland, Miao-Ju Jian (National Chung-Cheng University, Taiwan) and Mike Levine (Christopher Newport University, USA). In addition to the roundtable, Pedro Nunes also participated in a book launch session in which he promoted the aforementioned volume.
