Abstract
Using a multidisciplinary approach, the team investigated various issues in dance research, focusing on case studies in domains like traditional dance, contemporary dance, folklorized dance representations and dance within communities. The theses, publications, conference presentations focus on: dance and education, (de)folklorizing dance representations, dance critics, masks and dance as transgressive behavior, stick dances in northeastern Portugal, contemporary dance in Portugal, politics of the body, dance and fascism, dance therapy, traditional dance, and dance and multicultural education.
